neener, neener

tricked you! tricked you!
i love that you all went there.
don't you remember this post?
come on folks. i'm not that crazy.
i did however think that by making you think i was pregnant you might think we were a little less crazy when i told you that this is what is in our near future:

yeah. not kidding. don't make me elaborate too much or i might cry.
clint is going back to school folks. and i am leaving the sun and the beach for the walmart in rexburg and the bitter, bitter (did i say bitter? who me?) cold.

and that's not all.
we leave in a little over a month.
i know.

so, in effort to find the silver lining, i am grateful that clint will be able to finish what he started there years ago and am grateful that i have little owey to keep me company in that desolate land. and we (i) did get a new car out of the deal. 4-wheel drive is what it's all about. in all seriousness, i know that this is a good opportunity for us and we are happy to be going to a church school. i just have to try and stay positive about the new life that is ahead of me and concentrate on supporting my man through thick and thin and making the best out of the next few years. that is what it's all about, right?

so the question is do you feel more or less sorry for me now than you did when you thought i was going to have 2 babies ? discuss.

btw, manda and tracie were the only one's who even came close!!

Sorry to say, but I feel more sorry for you. I know how you love the sun and Rexburg, Idaho is the coldest place I have ever lived. I grew up about 30 minutes southwest of Rexburg and it was always like 10 degrees warmer at my house than in Rexburg. I don't know what it is about Rexburg but it is SOOO cold. The good news is that the summers are BEAUTIFUL and there are a lot of outdoor things to do. I'm sure you'll learn to love it but it will be an aquired taste. Good luck with your move!

wow, I tell you what, wow. CRAZY! I'm sure it will be a good experience and I know you will find the silver lining! Do you guys have a place yet? I just talked to my friend (actually, she is Becca's cousin kathryn) and she said living in Idaho Falls and having Clint commute would be well worth it. She also mentioned a town called Ammon that she thinks would be fun to live in. Just thought I would pass on the info. GOOD LUCK!!!! I probably shouldn't be asking you this already, but when will you be back in Cali? I hope I get to see you when I come in August!

Jess....Wow, that is some news. I can't decide whether to be happy or sad for you. Happy b/c it is great for your hubby to finish his degree and for you to support him. Sad, because I am SO glad all our schooling days are behind us and also because I know you LOVE CA and having all your family so close. But one thing is for sure: you won't live in Rexburg, ID forever. Plus, I'll bet there are lots of babies so you'll have plenty of friends (of course, the moms will be half our age at 18:). Just think: you met some of your favorite people at college, like me, so you're bound to meet some good people (of course, NOT as good as me--I don't think that's possible). Good luck, have fun and keep us posted!

Wow. . . Mark and I were shocked by the news! What spurred this on? I think you will enjoy it more than you think. It's a great school, and a great environment. You are going to have more friends up there than you will know what to do with! I hear you on the cold though. I am from Idaho, and still find the cold miserable!! We will have to get together the next time we make it up there. I'm we will be there a few times this summer. Good luck with the move!

Yay! I know how un-excited you are but I am thrilled that you will be a little closer! Any maybe when you make it down this way you will have more time to visit ME and not just Clint's Fam! I seriously hope you are comfortable taking road trips by yourself and will come stay when Clint get super busy and just has to study! I would love the company. My guest bedroom is calling your name! Love you. I sure things are going to be great and you will love it there! Right?

I think this is great news. I am sure it will be hard- as going to school with kids always is- but what a great opportunity. Besides, better to get it done now when Owen is so little that he'll never remember all of Clint's late nights of studying. Plus Reed and I visited BYU when we were there in March and part of me wished I was back. Just the part that remembered all the great friends I met there. Excited to hear more about your wonderful news!

Rexburg? Wow Jess! Do you remember when you did EFY up at Rexburg and had to buy a whole new wardrobe before you headed up there? For some reason, I remembered that when I read your blog. I am proud to say that I was fairly right on guessing a move! If it makes you feel any better, a co-worker of mine moved there with his wife just this last year and he claims that they love it there. They have a couple of kids as well. I think that you will be able to meet some great people there...

That is pure craziness:) Welcome to the cold!!! If you ever come to Utah for a weekend away...look us up! I'm sure your experience will be great! When we moved here, the plan was...1 year in Utah, then back to Cali...yeah...didn't quite work that way, but we love where we are! It really makes you appreciate the beautiful weather in California!!! Best of luck!

Hey, it will be a great experience. In some ways I'm jealous, I know I'm werid, but I love school & can't wait until I can go back to get my masters. On your way to Idaho if you want/are able to stop by we would love to see you & visit. We have a guest room & everything if you want to stay.

oh my gosh! i'm sorry, i totally laughed out loud when i read this... maybe it's the thought of a cute, california girl all bundled up in the cold AGAIN more than half a decade after she's finished college. but props to clint for finishing what he's started! our trials make us stronger, right? and before you know it, clint will be done and you'll be back in sunnier places. love you and you can totally do it!

You sneaky girl...I admire your hubby's willingness to make a sacrifice to finish his schooling. Dan has half of his schooling done and often wonders when he'll find the time to finish. It might be awhile now that he has decided to start his own business! Congrats guys and good luck!
